Oreco NitroGen™

On-site Nitrogen generator solutions for tank blanketing.

Oreco NitroGen™

on-site Nitrogen generator solutions for tank blanketing

The inert properties of Nitrogen™ makes it widely used in the oil and gas industry. Nitrogen is odourless, non-polluting and non-reactive in nature – and that makes it highly suitable for storage tank blanketing.

At Oreco, you can get on-site Nitrogen generators, the NitroGen™, specially designed for tank blanketing purposes. The generators are based on the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology.

Nitrogen means greater safety

Safety is a top priority in the oil and gas industry. Nitrogen ensures safety during e.g. tank cleaning operations and other situations where an inert atmosphere is needed. However, getting hold of Nitrogen is difficult and very expensive to many refineries, tank farms and offshore sites around the world.

Get nitrogen
where you need it

Producing your own Nitrogen is easier and cheaper;

Facts which can give you a competitive advantage. Other inert gases than Nitrogen are costlier alternatives. An on-site generator from Oreco gives you 24-hour access to nitrogen – with a low-cost, environmentally friendly solution.

Benefits with Nitrogen
blanketing system

Pressure Swing
Adsorption (PSA)
technology

How does it work?
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a cost-effective method of producing high-purity Nitrogen. All Oreco Nitrogen® generators are based on PSA technology.

A complete installation requires compressor, refrigeration dryer, air buffer tank, PSA separation units and produced Nitrogen buffer tank. Optional supply includes high pressure compressors for high pressure applications and/or filling station.

Why should I choose PSA over membrane technology?

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a cost-effective method of producing high-purity Nitrogen. All Oreco Nitrogen® generators are based on PSA technology.

Advantages of PSA technology

Industries and organisations that choose nitrogen generators based on PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology, rather than membrane technology, make that choice because PSA solutions offer a much higher cost-efficiency than membrane versions. All Oreco Nitrogen® generators, the NitroGen®, are based on the PSA technology. This is a deliberate choice: PSA generators have a number of operating and cost-related advantages compared to membrane solutions:

More reliable

PSA generators are less sensitive than membrane generators. They are more robust, thus more suitable for potentially harsh environments.

Higher purity

PSA generators are less sensitive than membrane generators. They are more robust, thus more suitable for potentially harsh environments.

Higher capacity

PSA generators are less sensitive than membrane generators. They are more robust, thus more suitable for potentially harsh environments.

Lower maintenance costs
